E-drives for watercraft

Already well established for floating taxis in numerous cities, the electric motor is also used in tugs, sports boats and other watercraft.

 

 

Propulsion motors

For the maritime market, we supply 48 V - 800 V motors for direct propulsion or for inboard/outboard propulsion as well as saildrives. Our 260 W motors have been reported to achieve speeds of 55 knots. The 260 W series has also proven itself in taxi boats and tourist boats. For smaller boats, our water-cooled 205 W motors are well-suited.

 

Bow thruster

Many motors for bow thrusters are heavy asynchronous motors. Our lightweight IPM (internal permanent magnet) motors offer users significant weight savings.
