Innovation Forum 2010 – Vehicle Concepts for Urban Mobility

This event on 9 September 2010 in Düsseldorf provides a forum where manufacturers, suppliers and research institutes can offer concepts and solutions for the urban mobility of tomorrow through talks and presentations.

Environmental protection and space at a premium: The increasing urbanization of the world’s population demands new vehicle concepts for individual mobility. Much has already been achieved, for example environmental zones in numerous German urban areas to reduce fine particulate pollution and inner-city congestion charges in European metropolises to combat traffic congestion and the shortage of parking spaces. In this area, major investments in research and development are required – the automotive industry is focusing increasingly on electrification of the drive train and on new vehicle concepts.

The Innovation Forum 2010 – Vehicle Concepts for Urban Mobility is a cooperative platform for new developments in the automotive sector. In addition to plant tours and a special exhibition, this event on 9 September 2010 in Düsseldorf offers a forum for manufacturers, suppliers and research institutes to present concepts and solutions for the urban mobility of the future through talks and presentations. Additionally, a talk from the political sphere will promote the exchange between industry, research and policymakers. The main themes of the talks are the electrification of the drive train, vehicle concepts for urban mobility and urban mobility in practice.

The event is being organized by the competence center automotive region aachen / euregio maas-rhein. car eV is an independent competence network within the automotive industry. Dr.-Ing. E. A. Werner, General Manager of ENGIRO GmbH, is a member of the managing board of car eV .
